Artist and sculptor William Lamb was born in Montrose, in 1893.<\/p>\n

Lamb sculpted many society figures \u2013 including the Queen Mother and both Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret, as young girls. Lamb\u2019s main body of work was inspired by the everyday people and places around Montrose.<\/p>\n

The William Lamb Studio was designed by Lamb himself and has been preserved much as it was when he worked there. It houses a collection of his sculptures, prints and drawings. If you visit, you can also see his workroom, with tools, and his living room, featuring self-styled furniture.<\/p>\n

Opening Times (2025):<\/strong><\/p>\n

The last Saturday of the month from April to June – 26 April, 31 May and 28 June.<\/p>\n

Thursdays and Saturdays throughout July and August.<\/p>\n

Doors Open Days on on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September.<\/p>\n

The last Saturday of the month in September and October – 27 September and 25 October.<\/p>\n

Openings are undertaken by The Friends of the William Lamb Studio \u2013 dates, times and access arrangements are available through the website. Please check for any changes to the dates listed above.<\/p>\n

Accessibility:<\/strong>
\nThe studio, although easily accessed from the street, has limited wheelchair access on the ground floor level due to the layout of the artworks. There is no wheelchair access to the upper
