We are pleased to allow music lovers, in Montrose and Angus, what is probably a once only opportunity to hear one of the leading voices of Americana and contemporary Folk in Amy Speace, who grew up in New York City and is now based in Nashville.

Heralded by Rolling Stone, Billboard Magazine and The New York Times, and featured on National Public Radio’s ” All Things Considered “, Amy Speace was discovered by Judy Collins, who signed Amy to her record label, Wildflower Records, and has recorded her songs.

Amy Speace was the 2020 Winner of the Americana Music Association UK International Song of the Year. Her song, ” The Weight of the World ” was named the Number 4 Record of the last decade by radio station, WFUV of New York City and ” The Sea and the Shore ” as one of the 100 best folk songs of the era. Amy will release this summer a single of Woody Guthrie’s, ” Plane Wreck at Los Gatos “, accompanied by a video, to raise funds for charity.
