Using a chef’s approach to match his botanicals, the award-winning brand exhibits Dean’s signature style that us so prominent in all of his Michelin-recommended restaurants: the best Scottish produce with an Asian twist, inspired by his extensive travels.

Always believing in sourcing locally, Dean’s proprietary recipe for Lunun Gin is produced in his hometown of Arbroath by childhood friend & Master Distiller, Lewis Scothern. Walking Dean through the process of distilling, they were able to take his most used aromatics from restaurant to bottle.

Established in 1825, Glencadam Distillery is steeped in history, heritage and tradition, handcrafting single malt Scotch whisky in a process that’s remained unchanged for 200 years. In 2021, Glencadam Distillery re-installed a working internal waterwheel, modelled on the original which was used to power the distillery back in in 1825.

One of Scotland’s oldest distilleries, Glencadam was purchased by Angus Dundee Distillers in 2003.
Today, Glencadam’s multi-award-winning range includes American Oak Reserve, Reserva Andalucía, the 10-Year-Old, 13-Year-Old, 15-Year-Old, 18-Year-Old and 25-Year-Old expressions, as well as a series of special cask finishes.

As part of Glencadam’s 200th Anniversary celebrations, a new visitor centre, set to open in summer 2025, paying homage to its rich heritage with a dedicated exhibition space showcasing the history of the East Highland distillery and its surroundings.

The visitor centre will also house a retail space and tasting rooms, as well as a whisky lounge, café and function suite for corporate hospitality and private hire.

Glencadam single malts are available to purchase through the Glencadam online shop.

Billy and Jory Duncan started Carnoustie Distillery in September 2017. The father and son team have set up what is the finest small, possibly the smallest, distillery in the UK. All their spirits are hand-crafted in small batches and are fermented, distilled, bottled and labelled in their log cabin in Carnoustie.

The distillery produces flavoured rum, vodka and gin from old recipes. The rum is made from organic molasses to give the ultimate rum taste. All products are made from scratch within the distillery which gives full control over finish quality.

Local outlets include:

  • Longparke Farmshop & Cafe
  • Glamis Castle
  • Brechin Castle Centre
