Pitscandly Farm is a third generation deer farm, run by Jeremy Gow and his family near Forfar.

He sells his venison at Farmers Markets all over Angus and Aberdeenshire. Venison steaks, fillets, joints, casserole, minute steaks, mince, burgers, sausages and a host of other cuts are all available.

Venison can be bought directly from the farm and can be posted all over the UK in environmentally friendly boxes. They provide venison for private individuals, butchers, private chefs and restaurants. Contact them directly for more information or to request a particular cut.

We also offer Venison Cookery Demonstration Mornings to encourage those who are nervous to cook with venison – we can show you how easy, quick, healthy and tasty cooking with venison can be!

South Powrie is a family farm on the hills above Dundee, where the Pate family have been farming for four generations. They rear premium quality KellyBronze turkeys – a favourite with Jamie, Delia and Nigella – and sell them directly to the customer from their festive farm shed at Christmas.

KellyBronze turkeys are reared traditionally in the fresh air, slow-grown to full maturity, dry-plucked and game-hung to maximise on taste. Their KellyBronze turkeys are also very quick and easy to cook, roasting on average in a couple of hours, and are collected oven-ready with a meat thermometer and full cooking instructions.

Pre-ordering is essential, and the turkeys can then be collected from the farm just before Christmas. Festive trimmings are also sold from the farm gate, including locally-made Christmas puddings, stuffing and farm-fresh vegetables.

Visit this perfectly stocked farm shop in Inverarity, close to Forfar, only 1-minute drive from the A90.

The shop has a great selection of own beef, lamb and free-range eggs, along with a wide range of other local Scottish produce including fresh fruit, vegetables, traybakes, takeaway coffees and tea.

Mill of Inverarity is a working family farm with both rich heritage and a modern vision. The farm is run by Alison and Rob Stodart with their two sons, Rory and Tom.

Under their management, the farm has changed beyond recognition to where it is today – a family business that utilises modern farming ideas along with traditional knowledge and experience.

Still a mixed farming enterprise, it has grown to include home produced beef, grass fed lamb and free-range eggs

Alison’s Great Grandfather John Syme moved from Fife to take on the tenancy at The Mill in 1884. This means that it is now the fifth generation of the same family farming The Mill.

Opening Times:
Monday & Tuesday – Closed
Wednesday to Saturday – 10am to 4pm
Sunday – 11am to 3pm
