This will be a popular return visit to Acoustic Music at Montrose Playhouse by two of the U.K.’s finest Singer Songwriters, and two long standing Montrose Folk Club favourites, in Heidi Talbot and Boo Hewerdine.

Heidi Talbot celebrates 25 years as a professional Singer this year, since she began her career as the lead vocalist with the legendary Irish American all- woman band, Cherish The Ladies. To mark the anniversary, Heidi will embark on a U.K.- wide Duo tour, with her favourite musical companion in Boo Hewerdine.

Heidi Talbot has shared the stage with Mark Knopfler, Graham Coxon of Blur and Tim O’Brien amongst others. She is equally at home in front of a Symphony Orchestra, Arts Centres and Festivals, and even at the White House in Washington. In October 2025, Heidi releases her ninth solo Album, entitled ” Grace Untold “.

As an outstanding Singer Songwriter for over 30 years, and on account of his long-term collaboration with Eddi Reader, Ivor Novello Award-winning Boo Hewerdine has become something of a national treasure. Over one hundred of his songs have been covered by such as KD Lang, Kris Drever and Chris Difford of Squeeze.
