Southesk Strings Concert
About This Event
A commemorative concert in memory of the late Dowager Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne.
Southesk Strings is an Angus group, founded in 2009, whose members have ranged in ages from 18 to 80 over the years. The programme at Glamis Castle will include a variety of traditional tunes, including some from the Archibald Duff collection, 1794, as well as more recent tunes dedicated to the late Dowager Countess of Strathmore and Glamis Castle, composed by talented local musician, Sandy Ingram.
From 7.30pm, a welcome sherry or soft drink will be served upon arrival in The Crypt. The concert will take place within the Drawing Room from 8pm. It is expected to last one hour with no interval.
