Alfred Dunhill, the longest running European Tour / DP World Tour sponsor, is honoured to stage the only professional championship to be played annually over the historic Old Course at St Andrews, alongside the Championship Course at Carnoustie and ‘modern classic’, Kingsbarns.

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship has an unique and enduring appeal for golfers and golf fans alike, with a unique format combining the DP World Tour professional competition alongside the Professional and Amateur Team Championship.

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship incorporates two separate competitions – a DP World Tour sanctioned individual professional tournament for 168 of the world’s leading golfers and a Team Championship, in which each professional is paired with one of 168 amateurs.

Play is over three courses in rotation over the first three days – the Old Course St Andrews, the Championship Course Carnoustie and Kingsbarns Golf Links – with the final round being played over the Old Course.

Join us for a relaxing and creative evening of plant pot painting, ideal for groups of friends that want to try something a little different to either usual Friday night get togethers. Sip on chilled Prosecco, graze from a beautifully curated characuterie and cheese board and unwind as you bring your artistic touch to a terracotta pot.

Whether you’re a seasoned painter or just in for the laughs, all materials are provided – no experience necessary!

Choose from one large pot which you will paint then plant a daffodil bulb for a vibrant display next year or choose three small pots which you will design and paint then plant three types of herbs and take them home and pop them on your windowsill. All pots come with a saucer to paint too!

Make sure you have a lift arranged because you will be greeted with a glass of prosecco on arrival. The bar will be open for the rest of the evening offering delicious cocktails/mocktails and much more. Once you are halfway or so through your painting we will begin to put out the cheese and meat boards on the table.

It’s the perfect blend of creativity, conversation and celebration. Grab your spot, bring a friend (or a whole friend group!) and lets toast to a great friendship!

Book your space now.

Join Sustainable Kirriemuir for a slow, social 13km circular cycle out to Kingoldrum Village Hall to their Pop-Up Café for soup, cake and a blether. Then refuelled, we will head back to Kirriemuir.

Led by Christina, our Active Travel Officer, we’ll start and finish at Sustainable Kirriemuir Community Garden, cycling north of Kinnordy Loch to Kingoldrum, stopping at the village hall for soup, cake and a blether, then back to Kirriemuir, south of the loch.

With approximately 140m of ascent in total, the focus on this ride is to be slow and social! Please bring your bike, a drink, and dress for the weather conditions on the day. We strongly recommend wearing a helmet.

There will be a charge of £8 to Kingoldrum Village Hall for the soup and cakes, payable on the day, so please bring cash.

This is a moderate, reasonably hilly ride, and cyclists should be competent cycling on the road. Please contact us in advance if you have any accessibility concerns. Children under 18 must attend with a responsible adult and be competent road cyclists with experience cycling similar distances and gradients.

This is a non-ticketed event, no booking required, but we’d love to know you’re coming! You can let us know by emailing Christina@sustainablekirriemuir.co.uk.

Please arrive at the Community Garden at 11am sharp.

This event is part of the Angus Outdoor Adventure Winter Festival.
