Based in the historic birthplace of Scotland, Redcastle produce a range of award-winning spirits & liqueurs, all expertly created, carefully distilled, and lovingly bottled and wax dipped, by hand.

In collaboration with the local football club, they have created The Red Lichtie Gin & Rum, in homage to the name given to the locals of Arbroath.

Owners Fiona, John & Shirley offer a warm welcome & are always on hand to impart their knowledge and enthusiasm, whether you have popped in for a browse around the retail shop or joining a pre-booked experience.

From their Arbroath brand home, Redcastle offer a range of exciting experiences: Gin or Rum Tastings, Blending School (where you can learn to create and make your very own gin or rum recipe), cocktail making classes, or distilling days where you can learn to be our next Master Distiller!

Kinnettles Gold is Scotland’s first 100% pure black tea, grown, plucked and hand made here on our farm in Angus. We started growing tea in 2007 and in 2015 sold our first crop to Pekoe Tea in Edinburgh.

When we started our tea business we were only able to get plants grown from cuttings from tea bushes in Cornwall. Cuttings are shallow rooted and need polytunnel protection so initially it was all about proving a concept to see if we could actually grow and make tea in Scotland.

When we sold our Kinnettles Gold in 2015 a group of nine of us then came together and imported specially selected cold tolerant seed from Nepal and Georgia (ex Soviet). We wanted tea plants that would grow outside and seeds put down a good long deep tap root which helps the plants anchor and cope with our Scottish climate. Our group is made up of nine farms and rural businesses in Angus, Fife, Perthshire and Aberdeenshire and the leaf from our nine gardens is combined to make a tea called Nine Ladies Dancing. Find out more about our groups project.

Here at Kinnettles we have planted an acre of tea grown from Nepali seed in our walled garden, and a further half acre grown from Georgian seed.

Kinnettles Tea is available to purchase on the Kinnettles Tea Garden website.

At Kinnettles we offer two hour educational tours to see our tea being plucked, where it is made and enjoy a tea tasting of two teas made at Kinnettles.

Opening Times:
Tours are by appointment only every Wednesday between 10am and 12 noon and 2pm to 4pm and cost £45 per person. The minimum number for a tour is 4, with a maximum of 10. We only do bespoke tours, so groups are not mixed.

Accessibility:
The tour is outside walking on grass, not gravel paths, so please wear appropriate footwear.

Ogilvy’s potatoes grow a short tractor ride from where they’re transformed into vodka. Everything is undertaken on the family farm to form a small-batch local liquor of international quality. The singular spirit is warm and welcoming, smooth and sweet. Its neutral essence makes it a great option for cocktails and a natural choice for the gluten-intolerant.

Experience first-hand the ground to glass Single-Estate vodka with a tour of Ogilvy Distillery.

Jump on the Tattie Box Tours trailer and go behind the scenes where you’ll be guided through the potato and vodka production. Learn how the spirit is made from scratch, using farm grown potatoes and see where Ogilvy cook, ferment and distil their vodka.

Your tour will complete with a tasting of award winning vodka.

Visitors must be 16 or over. Any 16/17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over, and will not be permitted to sample any alcohol. A soft drink is included in the ticket price of £18pp.
